TRAVEL DIARY | Lake Tyrrell

16.5.16

Given my predilection to anything pastel, a not-so-quick road trip to one of Victoria's most isolated towns, Sea Lake, was the perfect choice for my Anzac long weekend activity. The only attraction I was interested in was Lake Tyrrell, a shallow salt-crusted lake, covering more than 20,000 hectares making it Victoria's largest salt lake. Located approximately 314 km North-West of Melbourne, it took us 4.5 hours in the white van we rented to finally reach the destination. It was long and tiring, but everything was worth it in the end when you get to share breath-taking views and phenomenal experiences with amazing friends.
